This change was one of the hardest I have ever made, it’s self care. I always thought it was being selfish, and if I did I wasn’t being a good wife, mother, or grandmother. I had always put my family first in everything, my health, my mental health, and in everything. I realized a few years ago that I didn’t want to go and do anything, didn’t even want to leave the house. I wouldn’t change anything that I did, because my kids had a wonderful childhood. But it was time that I worked on myself.

It doesn’t have to be anything extravagant, but do things that makes you feel good. It could be as simple as doing one of your hobbies, talk to a friend, go for a walk, just something simple. Things I like to do for self care is, read a book, watch a movie I have been wanting to watch, crochet, and just doing any and all crafts, a good long soak in the tub with salts. I may even do a couple to candles and some relaxing music or watch a show in my baths. I have also done meditation, when I first started it I didn’t know if I was going to like it. But just like anything you do, keep doing it to make it a habit. I love meditation!! It makes you focus on the here and now, not worry about the past and letting the stress flow away for awhile. I will write more on Meditation and have a little secret also. Like I said, it doesn’t need to be something extravagant, unless if it’s something want to do and that is just fine also.
